Music Matters: Six Degrees of Dairyland
July 25, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
freeSIX DEGREES OF DAIRYLAND
Cheese, beer, and bratwurst aren’t the only famous exports Wisconsin had to offer. Among the Dairy State’s other home-grown commodities were artists whose influence on rock music included the inventor of one of the most popular electric guitars ever built, a band of brothers holding the dubious distinction of the most “bubbling under” records never to break into the Billboard Top 100, and a group of university students whose lineup gave rise to classic rock artists still heard on the radio today, as well as the manager of an internationally acclaimed band from the Midwest. Join Joe Accardi, host of Asheville FM’s “Life Out of Tunes with Joey Books” for a peek into the Badger State’s “moo-sic” that mattered from the late 50s into the early 70s.
