Healthy Asheville Health Report is a weekly segment of The Asheville FM Newshour. This report comprises two very important public health interventions for Buncombe County: the implementation of the newly formed Buncombe County Mobile Vaccination Team, one of the highlights of Public Health Director Stacey Saunders’s brief but noteworthy term during the COVID-19 pandemic, to partner with our radio station and a local entertainment venue, and the announcement of the new federal pilot program that is designed to help North Carolina’s, and particularly Buncombe County’s, Medicaid recipients stay healthy through evidenced-based non-medical interventions.
