Open Air is a co-production of Asheville FM and local community groups working to improve the lives of our neighbors in Asheville and Buncombe County. Tune in Tuesdays at 11 am for episodes from the Racial Justice Coalition, Sunrise Movement Asheville, Wildflower House, and more! If an organization would like to produce one hour or a whole series of episodes, they can contact the station and we will work with them to produce their content.
We realize that not everyone can afford the time to produce a weekly show and for equity reasons we have the show for that reason.
In our first season we worked with the Racial Justice Coalition (RJC) to help them produce a month show. RJC is a broad-based alliance of individuals and organizations committed to addressing systemic racism and state-sanctioned violence against Black people and those most impacted by poverty, criminalization, and mass incarceration.
