Chris McGinnis writes songs that exist somewhere between a hiccup and a heartache. Through tales of stolen Winnebagos and hip-shaking grandbabies, Chris’ music is Appalachian absurdity for the 21st Century. He has six tomato plants and a cat named Catrick.

A storyteller from Alabama, Kozak weaves mythology, spirituality, and poetry into his songs and delivers them with a dark voice and rhythmic finger-picking. His latest EP, “Our Lady of Embers,” tells the story of divining a thread of hope across these southern mountains.
