Richard Needleman

After a 35-year career as an Orthopedic Surgeon, including the last fourteen years in academic medicine, I obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health in order to pursue health equity, and prevent health problems before they develop. My interests are improving access to healthcare, public health advocacy, and teaching; my passion is universal healthcare. I am actively advocating for a healthier America and recently moved to Asheville and advocate for a healthy Asheville.
