Daddypops
If you like Bob Dylan, you appreciate shameless appropriation as the sincerest form of homage. Daddypops fosters a sense of musical object permanence in the wake of pop’s relentless advance through time. Each week we spend an hour rummaging through once precious treasures and castoffs, sifting and sorting songs centered around some theme or other. If it was anybody’s music growing up, it could be somebody’s lost toy. There’s no end to this great stuff, and there’s bound to be something here for you.
Shiny New Music
The Shiny New Music Show is dedicated to bringing you the newest music that we have in the Asheville FM library. We will play some songs from the hottest albums of the week, as well as the newest releases. We will cover music from across genres, including the various types of Rock, World music, Jazz, Experimental and Local music. We will also feature bands that are going to be playing live in Asheville in the near future. Tune in every Wednesday at 9 am to find out what is Shiny & New!
