Earlier this week the AFM News Team spoke to Sarah Hart, the communications coordinator for Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP), to speak about the upcoming virtual CSA or Community Supported Agriculture Fair. In addition to traditional produce farms, the fair will also include meat and flower farms from Buncombe County and the surrounding region. The fair will be an opportunity for community members to learn more about different CSA programs and to speak to farmers about their products, growing practices. Attendees can sign up for a CSA during the fair or follow up later with farmers.
The fair is on March 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. and will be accessible over Zoom. It is FREE to attend but participants must register for the event to receive the Zoom link.
