Victoria Law on Healthcare Behind Bars, the Pandemic and lessons learned (or not) Here is a recent chat with Victoria Law about her 2024 book, Corridors of Contagion: How the Pandemic Exposed the Cruelties of Incarceration from Haymarket Books. For the hour Vikki talks about what she learned through interviews with incarcerated folks as they lived through the first years of the Covid-19 pandemic behind bars across different jurisdictions and types of facilities and status. We talk about what decarceration really happened in 2020, lessons learned and not about healthcare around incarceration and some of the methods that incarcerated folks kept each other safe(r) in facing the novel corona virus.
