Professors JD and Ted were there at the beginning of FM radio as listeners and soon became fans of Progressive Rock, in different parts of the country. In 2024 Ted and Mary Ann moved to Asheville from Austin, Texas and soon became friends with JD and Marla... Now, after 10 years at AFM, JD finally has a co-host for Closer to the Edge, with 15 years on the air, at KOOP community radio in Austin. Their combined experience and knowledge of the genre and extensive private music collections, reflect a passion for the music, which includes the classic 70’s bands and artists as well as modern bands and artists from around the world.
