The Unquiet Meadow
Experimental/Atmospheric/Acid/Spook/Baroque-Folk/Psychedelia…
Join Cyprian & Pryscilla as they guide you through psych-tinged landscapes of mutated folk & haunted electronica. Hear twisted reminiscences of traditional Appalachian & English ballads, 60’s/70’s Psych Folk, Experimental/Speculative Folk from far, distant lands, as well as a smattering of vintage soundtracks, lysergic dreampop, frayed pagan cyber-folk, forest-drone & the finest in new, old (or just comfortably worn) black leather shoegaze.
Encounter new caches of high strangeness echoing from distant cobbled alleys–
Wyrd visitations from dusky creatures springing from the margins of old books on folklore & the Occult…
This is the music of lost futures & unrealized utopias– our own brand of vintage, cinematic, occult audio– with an Appalachian incline.
Join us each Sabbath for a shadowy midnight stroll through
The Unquiet Meadow.
Bio:
Cyprian & Pryscilla hole up in the mountains of Western North Carolina where their hauntological investigations into electroacoustic spellcasting & modern sonic folk-wizardry are occasionally celebrated… when noticed. In The Box
In the Box is (mostly) a show about 7″ 45 RPM records, the little records with a big hole and even bigger sound. Every Friday at 11am. From rhythm and blues and soul to punk, country, rock and roll, Latin, jazz, 80s, funk, disco and more! Hits and misses, hopes dashed and dreams realized. All presented by Whitney Shroyer, Mr. Soul Motion, a lifelong record collector and career DJ. Every week an adventure in sound and an evaporation of two hours into the form of the pure spirit of fun! If it was released on a single, it could be in the box!!
Outside Voices
