ABOUT THE BANDS:  Aunt Vicki
Meet AUNT VICKI, the musical embodiment of your favorite rebellious relative. They merge indie, retro rock, and Americana into their signature sound. Led by married songwriters Lee Dyer and Erin Campbell, their two styles give a yin and yang to the overall vibe. Influenced by the rock legends of the ’60s and the indie scene of the ’90s-00s, the four-piece band delivers catchy tunes with a gritty edge. Drew Ball is on Bass/Stage Mischief, and Tristan Smith adds a charming garage rock sass with his vintage drum kit.

 

The Getaway River Bar – The Getaway is a laid-back bar with extra chill vibes by the river. With an expanse of outdoor seating and recreations set on the edge of the French Broad River, it welcomes everyone 21+ to loosen up and enjoy a getaway hidden in-between the city center and growing West Asheville.

The Moon and You

The Moon and You is a husband/wife duo composed of longtime Asheville music veterans Melissa Hyman and Ryan Furstenberg. Hyman and Furstenberg mix up a fresh blend of influences from very different backgrounds. Melissa grew up in the NYC area studying classical cello. Her dad is a professional violinist and formal music instructor, her mom a fan of 60s folk who loves to host a good old fashioned sing-along. Ryan was born and raised among the Eastern NC tobacco fields, learning classic country and 70s rock on harmonica and then guitar. His rich country baritone and easy Southern style bring an undeniable Americana flavor to the table.

Together, the two form a sound that is warm and inviting, atmospheric and playful. Each is a well developed songwriter with a distinctive voice, and their songs range in style from classic to quirky. Lyrics-driven and intellectual with a keen ear for arrangement, they make music perfectly suited to a listening room or a pair of good headphones.

The Knotty G’s

Gill & Chuck Knott are the core of the funky and fun-loving group, The Knotty G’s. They sometimes call on a wide range of musical companions, to form everything from a duo to a full band. Established in Asheville, NC, The Knotty G’s travel the country sharing their Soul-Soaked Americana music, serving up a hearty, original recipe of pan-seared, boot-stomping-upbeat tunes, slow-cooked, captivating ballads, and even a few beaten, battered, deep-fried covers. Nothing short of a stir fry of fun, these characters can certainly satisfy even the biggest of musical appetites.
