ABOUT THE BAND: Indie Appalachian Folk music project Tina and Her Pony began in Asheville, North Carolina, USA in 2010.  Shortly thereafter, she spent two years holed up in the high desert mountain town of Taos, New Mexico becoming one of the iconic artist colony’s most beloved performing acts.

“Even within the world of folk, Tina & Her Pony’s sound can’t be defined within a single culture or concept. What is undeniable, however, is the soul-stirring power of the music itself”.

In a soundscape rich in folk and americana offerings Tina and Her Pony stands out with her clarity and freshness. Harmonies, arrangements, lyrics and captivating vocals combine to create something greater than the sum of the pieces which, taken individually, are deceptively straightforward. Her music chronicles complex emotional landscapes with the kind of wisdom and honesty required from roots music in its most distilled and cherished forms.  The pandemic brought much change and loss to Tina’s world, and this is reflected in her fresh material, a collection of songs that comprises her newest record, “Marigolds” (2023).

  • It’s the First Friday of the Month so it’s Talent Search at o’Henry’s with Lethia Dose Sign-ups between 8 and 10 pm.  Drawing numbers at 10:15 pm Show starts at midnight. The Winner is chosen by audience applause and receives a cash prize and host the next month’s talent search.
  • THIS FRIDAY, is Broadsway!   • On Thursday, April 25th, the Western North Carolina AIDS Project (WNCAP) will host the annual Dining Out For Life event. Partnering again with the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association (AIR), Dining Out For Life 2024 will encourage residents of Asheville and Western North Carolina to eat out at Participating Restaurants. This celebration supports both the local restaurants that host the events and raises money for WNCAP’s life-saving services. Now in its 22nd year, Dining Out for Life has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The money raised by WNCAP’s annual Dining Out for Life is more critical than ever. Your donations provide care, rental assistance, and education in our fight against HIV/AIDS. Dine Out. End HIV!
