Carolina Public Press and 103.3 Asheville FM hosted a debate featuring the five contenders for three Asheville City Council seats, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Frank Taylor, managing editor at Carolina Public Press and KP Whaley, General Manager of Asheville FM, were co-moderators. JMPROTV also provided Spanish translation of the debate, hosted via Zoom.

REVOLVE Celebrates 30th Anniversary of Americans with Disabilities Act

 This month is the 30th anniversary of the signing of the ADA – Americans with Disabilities Act.  To mark the occasion, REVOLVE Studios in Asheville and DIY-abled, a grassroots organization raising awareness around accessibility have teamed up to bring a virtual event of storytelling from members of the disability community.  Priya joined KP Whaley on his show,  The Covid Update, earlier today to discuss disability rights and accessibility in a time of Covid.

Keeping with the theme of helping out. Asheville FM is partnering with Asheville Music Professionals (#AMP) to provide meals to folks in the community who work in the music industry and have struggled during the shutdown. Local Synthesizer Manufacturer, Make Noise will be donating a meal for every donation we receive. #AMP delivers meals once a week. We’re so excited about the collaboration of these two organizations to help us while also helping our community! We need you to support what you love.
